Stems

Borex Manufacturing produces top quality stems for the local and international markets. Our stems have been tried and tested for over 3 decades.

Using A grade AISI 4330 V alloyed steel, heat treated to our own stringent standards we can ensure a tough stem capable of withstanding the harshest of environments.

Our stems all feature our trusted and tried, seamless, ultra hard tungsten chip impregnated integral rib technology, which ensures against pre mature cracking during the weld process.

We stock stem blank billets in both the 12 1/4" and 15" range and can produce a finished stem, ready to go within just weeks from the order.

We also provide quality stem refurbishment services for the local South African market. This includes ndt crack testing, re-pin of choice or re-chase where possible, tungsten impregnated rib build up and grinding ribs to size, repairing dowel holes and pins and cleaning + painting.
